Voidikilia beach, or in Greek, “cow’s belly”, is an unusual shaped beach in the Peloponnesus and Messinia regions. The shape of the beach is just like the Greek letter Omega (Ω) and is perhaps the most renowned beach in the area and one of the most exquisite beaches in Greece!
The New York Times declared it the most beautiful beach in the world.
Golden sands, gentle dunes, and sparse vegetation create a small paradise in a breathtaking natural setting.
It’s important to note that access to the beach area is not possible without a car. Renting a vehicle is essential. Even with the assistance of Google Maps, locating this place can be challenging.
For those who enjoy delving deeper, the northern side offers a hike above the beach where Nestor’s Cave and the ruins of the 13th-century Navarino Castle, built by the Franks, await. This hike presents spectacular views over the lagoon.
Voidokilia Beach garners much admiration for good reason; discover why for yourself.
