Tripiti village is famous for its Catacombs and is located on the high plateau behind the hill of Plaka, just a short walk away from Kastro. This small, picturesque village with a couple of traditional taverns is the perfect escape from the crowded capital of Plaka. The village square is worth visiting for its amazing views of the Aegean Sea, especially during the sunset. Afterwards, you may try tasty specialties at nearby tavernas and restaurants.

The Catacombs of Milos are an ancient and impressive underground Christian cemetery dating back to the 1st to 5th century. Considered among the most important sites worldwide, the Catacombs of Rome were initially used as burial sites where Christians secretly interred their dead. Later, they were used as places of worship. The visit here will be short; you will only need a few minutes. Feel free to combine it with a walk to the village.
