Skiathos Airport

Skiathos International Airport “Alexandros Papadiamantis” is known for having the shortest runway for passenger aircraft in Europe.

There are reports ranking the airport as one of the worst airports in the world, and other reports ranking the airport among the most beautiful runways. No matter though, as Skiathos Airport is one of the most famous airports in Greece. It is surrounded by hills on both sides and it is situated incredibly close to the beach. This airport is well renowned for its unique and exhilarating landings!

The airport’s location and design have made it a popular destination for aviation photographers and videographers.

Corfu Airport

Corfu Airport, also known as “Ioannis Kapodistrias International Airport”, is the main gateway to the beautiful island of Corfu, in Greece.

One of the busiest airports in Greece, the airport welcomes aircrafts from all around the world.Vlacherna Monastery, situated on a small islet in a lagoon, serves as an ideal spot for plane spotters, curious travelers, and photography enthusiasts.

It’s useful to note, that all flights heading to Santorini, come in from the Southeastern coast, flying directly over Kamari Beach before taxiing toward Monolithos. Therefore, sitting on the left side of the plane will provide you with the best views during your approach.
