The Folklore Museum, situated in the capital of Plaka within a 200-year-old house, offers an immersive experience into the traditional and remarkable life of Milos.

Established in 1967, the museum exhibits objects that transport you back to the traditional daily life of the island, from the period following the revolution of 1821 up to a few decades ago.

A relatively small museum yet it offers a deep immersion into the local culture and customs. Household items and costume textiles from urban and rural settings reflect the traditional economic and social statuses of past centuries.

There is an admission fee of 4€ per person, 2€ for kids and students.
