The Archaeological Museum of Milos is housed in a beautiful Neoclassical building designed by Ernst Ziller. Located in the main square in Plaka, its collection includes interesting artifacts dating back to the late Neolithic period until late antiquity. At the entrance of the museum, visitors may admire a true copy of Aphrodite De Milo. The copy was made in the workshop of the Louvre Museum. The original statue was discovered by a local farmer in 1820 on Milos Island and has been prominently displayed at the Louvre Museum in Paris shortly after its discovery.

The museum is divided into four rooms where you can admire a variety of Hellenistic, Archaic, and Roman works, including sculptures, blades, coins, scales, and tools dating from the 6th century BC to the end of the 2nd century BC.

There is a small admission fee of 3€ at the museum.
