If you’re planning a trip to Paros Island this summer, make sure not to miss the stunning sunsets that have become iconic on social media. Here are the top places to witness them.

Being Greek, I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Paros Island numerous times over the years. Fortunate to have local friends, they’ve shown me some gorgeous spots that only the locals are privy to! I’m excited to share with you the prime locations for experiencing the best sunsets and sunrises on the island:

The first spot on my list is the Monastery of Agios Antonios at the top of Kefalos Hill. This church is located between the villages of Piso Livadi and Marpissa and I can confirm that this is the premier location for your sunset or sunrise viewing. However, be cautious as there is no road leading up there, just a rocky and steep path suitable for walking or better navigated with a motorcycle.

The second one, but equally breathtaking, is the Agioi Anargyroi Monastery, located on a hill above Parikia. The road to reach that spot is uphill, but you can drive, and there are parking spots outside the monastery.

In the protected zone of Paros Park, you can find the Lighthouse of Korakas, located in the northern part of Paros. Korakas Lighthouse is part of the Korakas Cape Trail, but you can reach it easier from Monastiri Beach with a short 20-minute hike. The path starts behind the cafe. Being there at sunrise or sunset, one finds that words cannot capture the splendor.

Lastly, a boat sunset tour is a must-do in Paros and could very well be the crowning experience of your visit. For the romantics, this enchanting excursion promises to become an unforgettable memory, etched in the heart as the sun dips below the horizon.
