Paleokastritsa, situated in the northwest of the island, is among the most frequented spots in Corfu. The name ‘Paleokastritsa’ translates to ‘old castle’ in Greek, a nod to the nearby Angelokastro Castle. It is highly recommended to visit the castle at sunset for an unforgettable experience.

Nestled within sheltered coves and surrounded by stunning natural beauty, Paleokastritsa’s coastline boasts some of the most beautiful beaches on the island. All of them a mix of sand and pebbles with turquoise waters. I wouldn’t skip any, to be honest.

At the top of the hill near Saint Spiridonas beach you will find the hidden monastery of Paleokastritsa offering amazing panoramic views.

Visiting the Corfu Aquarium is essential, as it displays a wide array of Mediterranean fish species.
