My Top 8 tips for your perfect trip in Paros
- Rent a car. Paros is an island with so much to see and if you want to receive the maximum experience from your trip, I recommend that you rent a car. There are so many picturesque villages, stunning beaches and sights to explore, that you shouldnโt miss.
- Choose your travel season wisely if you want to avoid large crowds. Opt for the low season to travel. If that’s not possible and you must travel during the high season, wake up early to explore without the crowds.
- Engage with the locals.ย Donโt be shy asking information! Talk with the locals and learn from them. You will find it quite entertaining and I can assure you that every time you engage, you will learn something new and interesting.
- Learn about the islandโs history and culture. Believe me, there is no better way to enrich your knowledge and understand the place your are visiting.
- Pack a travel adapter. If you are travelling from outside Europe, packing a travel adapter is a must. Plugs in Europe are totally different from those is USA, Canada and the UK.
- Eat like a local. Greece has the most incredible food you will ever taste in your life. Donโt miss the chance to eat out in local restaurants, even if you have an all-inclusive hotel.
- Avoid drinking tap water on the Greek islands, as it’s generally not recommended. However, this can vary depending on the specific location. Most islands lack natural water sources and rely on desalinated ocean water for safe consumption. It’s fine to use tap water for brushing your teeth and showering.
- Last but not least, bring mosquito repellent; it will save you from dozens of mosquito bites daily! Mosquitoes in Greece will literally attack you during the hot summer nights, and repellent is the only answer. You’ll thank me later for that!
