A 4 Nights/5 Days itinerary
According to a Greek – Do it like a Greek. I have visited the island multiple times and I will give you the Top Must-See and Do for a 4 nights/5 days trip on the island.
1st Day
As a first-time visitor, I recommend booking accommodation in Nydri. Stroll through the beautiful town, enjoy lunch at a beachside restaurant with stunning views, and take some time for souvenirs and photo selfies.
2nd Day
Take your breakfast and pack your swimming equipment for your first exploration. Visit Porto Katsiki and enjoy the bluest, crystal-clear waters of the island. If you decide to stay all day at the beach, Porto Katsiki is a famous spot to enjoy the sunset. If not, drive by the lighthouse of Cape Ducato, where you’ll love the almost 360-degree views. If you still have more energy, party in the town.
3rd Day
If you love sailing, you’ve come to the right island! Take a half-day boat trip to Skorpios and Meganisi islands. It’s a must-do during your visit to Lefkada.
4th Day
Not a beach day, today!
Lefkada offers a wonderful mix of historical sites and relaxing spots. Start your day exploring Lefkada city, then visit the impressive Agia Mavra Castle and Griva Castle. Don’t miss the Archaeological Museum, which showcases the island’s rich history, and the Angelos Sikelianos Museum, dedicated to the famous Greek poet.
In the evening, unwind with a cocktail at Amente Bar Restaurant while enjoying a stunning sunset over the Ionian Sea. If you’re visiting during peak season, remember to book in advance to secure your spot.
5th Day
If you’re planning a short hike to Nydri Waterfalls, keep in mind that during the peak season with dry weather, the waterfall may not have much water. For a beach day, drive to Egremni Beach to soak up the sun. If you enjoy water sports, Vasiliki Beach offers a variety of amenities and activities, including windsurfing, sailing, and kayaking.
If you are able to add more days I would do a boat day trip to Paxos and Antipaxos islands or a beach day at Agiofili and Kathisma beaches.
