Kassos, one of the most remote islands, offers visitors a glimpse into a place unspoiled by tourism. It is famed for its superb cheeses and other dairy products that are exported throughout Greece.

With little villages and a few welcoming locals, the island is all about slowing down and experiencing the local way of living. Upon arrival on the island, the tranquility of life is immediately palpable.

To experience the island is to experience village life! Even for solo travelers, I would recommend renting a car to discover all the hidden gems. The island offers flavorful festivals, beautiful churches, Archeological and folklore museums, more than a dozen of beaches and some breathtaking panoramic views across the nearby islands.
