Traveling by ferry boat is the most economical way to reach the island, with one-way fares approximately 40€. Booking a round-trip ticket may offer a small discount. Frequent daily services run from Piraeus, the primary port of Athens, and other nearby Cycladic islands. These services are provided by Blue Star Ferries, Aegean Speed Lines, Seajets, Magic Sea Ferries, Minoan Lines (during the peak season), and Zante Ferries, with prices ranging from 39€ to 100€.

TIP: If you’re arriving in Athens from overseas and plan to head straight to Milos Island, ensure that you schedule your ferry to Milos with at least a 4-hour overlap with the ferry boat’s timetable.

Milos Island does not have an international airport. Therefore, if you are traveling from abroad, you should plan to fly into Athens first.

There is, however, a domestic airport on the island, meaning that daily flights are frequent from Athens.

This implies that you will have to fly to Athens, and then take a ferry or another local flight to Milos. Aegean Airlines and Sky Express operate flights to the island, with prices ranging from 70€ to 170€ for a one-way ticket, depending on the season and the airline.
