The Armenistis lighthouse stands proudly overlooking the island of Tinos, and it is a fully functioning lighthouse standing like a sentinel over the Amenistis area. It is a testimony to Mykonos’ maritime history, a proud reminder of a once glorious maritime history that is tied to the island of Mykonos.

Constructed in 1891, the lighthouse stands 19 meters tall with its focal plane at 184 meters above sea level. It provides some of the island’s most breathtaking views.

Having a car, I suggest driving there during the afternoon or as the sun sets to enjoy the view from that spot.. The lighthouse stands in the Fanari area on the north-western part of the island, some 7km from Mykonos Town, and you don’t need a guide.
